We are looking for trusted self employed Associates to provide home and pet visits within their local area. The work is people focused and involves entering homes alone, following clear instructions, sending updates and respecting client privacy. It includes travelling between local visits, managing a personal schedule and working within clear professional standards.
We want people who are calm, steady and comfortable working on their own. You should enjoy animals, have good common sense, communicate clearly and build positive relationships with clients and their pets.
What We Do
✅ Provide flat rate home and pet visits, usually between 5 and 20 minutes
✅ Care for pets such as reptiles, birds, fish, small animals, cats and dogs
✅ Feeding, refreshing water, changing litter, cleaning up pet areas and giving basic medication
✅ Carry out simple tasks like watering plants, putting out the bins or keeping an eye on the house
✅ Provide regular WhatsApp updates for clients with photos and videos
We do not offer dog walking, overnight stays or long duration in‑home pet sitting.
How it works
Associates work independently on a self employed basis within their local area while receiving support with bookings, marketing, administration and client coordination from Helpful Home and Pet Services. This allows you to focus on delivering reliable visits while benefiting from an established brand and growing client base.
We operate 7 days a week, and client demand can fall on any day, including weekends and school holidays. You choose your own availability and can accept or decline visits. There is no guaranteed income or set hours.
Associate qualities

There’s a calm confidence around animals, an organised and practical approach, and a sense of trust that clients can feel straight away. Communication is open and honest, and there’s a gentle, reassuring manner that keeps visits smooth for both pets and owners. Associates are encouraged to help build awareness within their local area through leaflet delivery and community visibility. Over time this helps develop a more regular and consistent local client base. Helpful Home and Pet Services can provide materials, guidance and support to help you grow your area professionally and effectively.
Working with others
Associates are part of a small, friendly local network. Everyone works independently, with friendly support when it’s needed. People may occasionally help neighbouring areas during holidays or busy spells, which keeps things running smoothly for clients and helps maintain continuity of service. It can also mean there is potential cover when you need time off, depending on who is available nearby. The aim is to keep clients happy, keep the service steady and make the work feel supported and connected.
